Government Description

CYBERNETIC REPUBLIC

In the mid 2730’s, computers grew so powerful, and so fast, it was decision of U.S. President Patrick Bula to give up the Democracy. A giant chamber was constructed in downtown New York. (Now the capital of the U.S.) This chamber housed eight different supercomputers. Each computer had a specific area of expertise. One computer was for Crime, one was for Public Health, another was for Military Command, there was one for Diplomatic relations, one for Space exploration, One for finance, one for education and one for Transportation. If a bill were proposed, each computer would add up the pros and cons that would effect its area of expertise. They would then each give the bill a score out of 100. The eight computers would then take the average score of the bill. If the score was over 85, the bill was enacted. On January 1st, 2736, at 00:00, the new government was officially enacted.

Since the computers ran the country so well, The Republic of America’s territorial lands grew and grew. They took over Mexico, Panama, and all of Central America! The cities grew so much that the smallest city had more than 30 million inhabitants. The entire territory was ENTIRELY covered in cities. The country established diplomatic relations with the food production giant, Canada. In exchange for eternal peace and a sum of 100 billion gold annually, Canada would feed the entire country with their supreme surplus food. The fate of the American people as well as the Canadians was sealed.
